Björkgatan is a cozy life game set on an ordinary Swedish street. Go to SFI, find a job, shop at ICA and chat with your neighbours, all in Swedish, with English underneath and nearly every line read aloud.
How it works
Create your character, name your partner and move into your own house on Björkgatan. Your first day guides you through your first errands, then lets you roam free.
Buy bread at ICA, take a lesson at SFI, work a shift at Krogen, get a haircut. Every errand is a short conversation in Swedish, with the English right underneath.
Every word you meet is saved under Ord and comes back for review until you can write it yourself. As your level rises, new classrooms and better jobs open up.
SFI, Swedish for immigrants
SFI is the language school on your street. Each classroom has lessons in vocabulary, listening, spelling, building sentences and conversation, and you earn Swedish points as you go.
Everyday Swedish
Everyone on Björkgatan speaks Swedish, and the English is always right underneath. The ice cream truck, the cashier at ICA, the bartender at Krogen and your partner at home all have something to say, and you choose how to answer.

Your life on the street
Lessons are only part of it. The rest is the everyday stuff a life in Sweden is made of.
Get a new cut and colour at the hair salon, buy clothes at H&M, furnish your home from IKEA and build onto your house plank by plank.
Spend time with your partner, start a family and take turns with the preschool run. Adopt Maja the puppy in the park, or win over Misse, the cat next door.
Ride a horse and milk the cows at the farm, take the bus to the city centre or the archipelago, go fishing with Captain Stina and race Vasaloppet in Sälen.
